Sophie Finlayson

Louise Reynolds & David Finlayson would like to share these photos of their daughter, Sophie Louise Finlayson. She was born on 18 March 2009 at 6:10 p.m., weighing 8 lb 1 oz at Ormskirk Hospital. Says Louise, 'I was very ill from 32 weeks onwards and was sent to the hospital by the community midwife for monitoring due to high blood pressure, protein in my urine, headaches and feeling generally ill. The doctors found I had high bile acids and suspected cholestasis. My results went up and down for weeks and I was only officially diagnosed at 40+2 after developing the itch. I delivered at 40+3 not knowing what cholestasis was. It was only when I found your website after Sophie's birth that I found out how serious cholestasis is.
